Launching soon macOS

Nostos Focus is being built for getting work done.

The plan is a personal, local macOS companion for tasks, projects and the queue of what comes next. It would protect focused time from the distractions you select and keep a clear record of where that time went.

A focus tool should not become another system to manage.

When the next task is clear, the useful thing is a way to begin, keep distractions out and know where the time went. Maintaining the tool should not become another piece of work.

Nostos Focus is being shaped as a deliberately small companion: enough structure for tasks, projects and a working queue; enough protection to hold attention; and enough history to understand how time was used. It would remain useful without a larger productivity system around it.

Queue the work. Protect the time. See where it went.

Keep the next work clear

The planned queue would keep tasks and projects in a simple working order, so the next thing stays visible without turning organisation into a job of its own.

Block what gets in the way

Planned block lists could run on a recurring schedule or only while a chosen task or project is active. The boundary would be yours to define.

Keep time connected to work

Planned timers and a local session history would connect focused time to tasks and projects, so you could see where the effort went and return with context.

Personal, local and deliberately small.

  • Local by intent Task, project, block-list and session data is planned to stay on the Mac by default.
  • Designed to stand alone The goal is a complete standalone experience with its own tasks, projects, queue and focus sessions.
  • Designed to pair deeply Optional integration with Nostos Tasks is planned to bring tasks and project context into focus sessions without making Nostos a requirement.
